I stumbled across this about a month prior to taking this awesome image and so decided to recreate it because I felt it had a really powerful message. This is behind Ramsgate casino which just backs ontot he beach. Many tramps inhabit this are because it is sheltered and close to the town. Alot of the homeless folk get abuse and get woken up when they are asleep.
I think helping other countries is all well and good however we should remember charity starts at home, and we should help ourselves, if not first AT LEAST at the same time as other countries. I mean we give other countries money, but over here hobo's are told to get a job. I agree that they do need self motivation and if they won't help themselves then they are just a waste of space, but I think they should at least have a PROPER shelter and not the back of some casino.
I would like to add that i have had many suggestions about changing the field of depth, adding contrast and even B+Wing it however i want this to be a really raw image. What you see is what you get. I will not decrease the field of depth because people need to see what a terrible place they live around. Increasing the contrast would make this seem like a very happy image, and it's not, but nor is it completely sad because they have their own friendships around their and so we need soem colour but not too much.
All comments/criticism and fav's are greatly appreciated.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts
P.S. Thanks to for helping me clear up the background
well we do take care of these people. there's places that they can just walk right up to and say "i'm homeless and want to look for a job." so they give them like $1,000 a month and help them look for a job. most of those people are just too lazy to do it.
well 1st of all, u dnt live in the UK so we use £'s. 2nd of all, i know what u mean, but i mean, we should be helping these people insted of random immigrants. to qoute a chili peppers song title "save the population". The current population and not the incoming one.

Help our own country?... Of course, thats important... But you have to remember while alot of people live in poverty here, even more people live in worse poverty in worse off countries... Their goverment may be corrupt, or they maybe trying to tackle thier problems, but our governemt has the money, our economy CAN spare a few bucks, thiers cannot, we have to remember, that we are FAR MORE FORTUNATE than we think... Of course, you could always call our government corrupt, or plain stoopid, we could cut back against the funds put into fighting terrorism to help these people, or we could launch some sorta communist thing to deal with this problem? BAH! Forget it, HUMANITY STINKS.....
*ahem* sorry for my rambling, Its a cool pic.. heheheh, Did the hobo write that on the bench? Heheheh...
well first of all, most if not all governmeants are corrupt and have their own mini-alliances etc plus they need to keep up a good reputation. and kim, we dont use bucks....lol
